National Night Out

East Maine Fire Company participates every year in the Town of Maine National Night Out at the Maine Town Park.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign held the first Tuesday night in August that promotes police, Fire and EMS-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Together, we are making that happen.

National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and Fire Departments, EMS agencies and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring emergency service departments and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

East Maine provides free fire safety information including information about smoke detectors, carbon monoxide, household hazards and fire hazards. We also provide fun coloring and other activities for the kids.

Every other year East Maine sponsors and runs the Broome County Firefighters Association Fire Safety Trailer. This trailer is an instrumental tool in teaching children the basics of fire safety and what to do in the case of a fire or other emergency in their home. The children learn how to dial 911 in case of an emergency, kitchen hazards and other fire hazards around the home.

We hope you will join us at national night out and we look forward to seeing you there.
